Our story

This was never just about running.

It started with a few people meeting before the city woke up.

01 / The start

A few became thirty. Thirty became hundreds.

No big plan. No idea what it would become. Just a reason to get out the door and people to show up for.

Strangers became friends. First 5Ks became first races. Tuesdays became something people protected on their calendars.

02 / The reason

It was each other.

What started in Rockwell grew beyond Rockwell. And somewhere along the way, we realized the thing bringing everyone back wasn’t a place. It wasn’t a pace. It wasn’t even running.

Rockwell Run Club became Just Show Up Club because that’s what we’d been doing all along.

03 / Now

Running brought us together.
Showing up made us a community.

A note from Ashley

Founder / Creative Director

“I didn’t start this because I was a runner. I started because I needed something to show up for.”

So I asked people to come with me.

That’s how JSU began.

What I didn’t expect was how much people would start showing up for each other.

I’ve watched strangers become friends. I’ve watched people do things they never thought they could do. I’ve watched people arrive alone and slowly find their place here.

That’s what I’m most proud of.

I don’t care how fast you are. I don’t care if you’ve never run before. I don’t care if you come alone.

There’s a place for you here.

Just show up.

The Archive / December

What are you showing up for?

The Archive is our year-end race and event. One day, in December. The date and the details land here first.
